The only one in Russia Museum of Funeral Culture has recently opened in Novosibirsk. The museum was created by a local businessman – the founder of the Novosibirsk crematorium. More than 10 thousand exhibits devoted to the funeral traditions of the 19th century can be seen there. There are unique original documents, books that tell about embalming, for instance. About 14 million dollars of private funds have been spent to make the museum.
